Dear Future CSHM CARDINAL Football Player,

The current school year will be rapidly coming to a close, and soon you will be
graduating from grammar school. You have recently made a very important decision
in your life. You have chosen to continue and foster your educational growth by
enrolling at Cantwell Sacred Heart of Mary High School. It will prove to be a
very challenging decision, but one that is bountiful in its experiences and
rewards. You and your parents are to be commended for your choice. When
registering for CSHM High School, you indicated an interest in participation in
the 2005 Football program. As you will find out early, CSHM High School is rich
in football tradition. The 2004 Varsity campaign resulted in a 3 win – 8 loss
campaign and second place in league. While the efforts were many, and the
dedication was driven by team concepts - a true indication of the commitment of
our young student - athletes, the results were below accustomed expectations.
The 2005 campaign will be an exciting challenge brought about by the focus and
determination of young men with similar aspirations to the ones that you will
exhibit as you start your career at CSHM High School.

The 2005 season should provide every bit as much competition and excitement as
previous ones. It will be extra special for you and your parents, because it
will mark the first time that you will compete as an athlete for CSHM High
School. A copy of the 2005 CSHM High School Football schedule has been included
for you to recognize the challenge ahead. CSHM High School will play a very
challenging schedule comprised of some of the best football playing schools in
the State of California.

In anticipating a most successful “KICKOFF” to the 2005 season, there are a few
administrative details that must be accomplished by each and every prospective
freshman team member.
In this packet contains very important paperwork that must be taking care of
ASAP.

1.  Consent form, (must be filled out and turned in)
2.  Physical form, (we have a Medical Doctor on staff that will conduct
physicals. Have your Parents fill out and sign the bottom.)
3.  Spirit pack information flyer
4.  Freshmen Practice schedule
5.  Freshmen game schedule
6.  CSHM football player’s policies
7.  Prospect sheet

Summer drills will begin for all three levels on Monday - June 13, 2005. Prior
to the opening of summer practice, it will be necessary for each incoming
freshman candidate to attend an organizational meeting to be conducted on
Thursday night - June 16, 2005. The meeting will be held in the gymnasium and
will begin promptly at 6:30 pm.
PARENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.

SUMMER FOOTBALL PRACTICE
You will also find included a schedule for the 2005 CSHM High School Summer
Football Practice which will be conducted from June 13, 2005 through July 21,
2005. Over the past Forty-five years, summer practice has proven valuable to
incoming freshman Football players, as it gives them insight into the techniques
and methods that are used at CSHM School. I would highly encourage all to
participate in summer practice for the obvious merits that each individual will
gain physically and emotionally. I hope that your summer is a very productive
and happy one for you and your family, and that you will do everything in your
power to prepare yourselves for the 2005 CSHM High School Football season. It
will be a unique and worthwhile experience for you, and one that you will have
to work diligently to be successful at. I look forward to seeing you at CSHM
High School Summer Football Practice, and at our meeting June 16. As always
please check out our website for more information and updates:
