Cardinals Adopt University of Nebraska Training
Regimen!
|
Since
May 2004
the
Cardinals have begun rebuilding their program by instituting a
4-day split weight training and conditioning program adopted by the
University of Nebraska Huskers. If not involved in another sport, each
prospective football player will have to commit to the after school
regimen. Strict accountability will be emphasized. Each player will
have to have 90% attendance in the weight room and study hall in order
to remain in the program for Spring Football in
May 2005'. All
athletes below a GPA of 2.0 will have to attend a study hall before
they may lift. In addition, a 800lb.,
1000lb. and 1200lb. club was
created as each player is tested in 4
major lifts and 4 run events approximately every 8
weeks. |
